Citizen Charter of Upazila Food Controller's Office, Kalkini, Madaripur



01. Supply of ration: Ration is supplied through dealers among the 4th class employees working in various government offices of the upazila.

02. Distribution of food grains through fair price card: Food grains are sold through Fair price card among the poor people of the upazila.

03. Distribution of Foodgrains in OMS Sector: The sale of foodgrains is conducted through OMS among the people at affordable prices.

04. Food friendly program: The service is provided by distributing food grains (rice) among the poor people of different unions of the upazila at the price fixed by the government.

05. TCB Programme: Issuance of DO of foodgrains for upazila wise distribution under TCB programme.
06. Supply of food grains to VGD sector: To meet the food needs of poor, widowed and abandoned women, food grains are distributed through this program.

07. Distribution of Foodgrains in GR Sector: Under this programme, foodgrains are distributed among the extremely poor people affected by natural calamities.

08. TR & Kabikha: Infrastructural development is supported through distribution of food grains in TR & Kabikha sector.
09. Foodgrain Licenses: Licenses are issued and renewed to various types of food grain dealers and wheat crust mills. Through this some government revenue is collected.

10. Procurement of Paddy, Rice and Wheat: During Aman and Boro seasons, paddy and wheat are procured from farmers and rice from rice millers (under contract with the government) based on announced target levels as per government policy. Besides, imported and donated food grains from abroad are stored in LSD.
